The Little Black Sweater! A Staple For Your Closet!

We often hear of having the staple of “the little black dress” in our closet, but what about a black sweater?  BLACK goes with everything so it only seems reasonable that having a little BLACK SWEATER in your closet should be a staple too.  It is such a go-to when you need just a little something extra to dress up an outfit.  There are so many things I absolutely love about this sweater I’m wearing!  I found this sweater at Buckle and I am obsessed with it!  It is lightweight, has a stylish zipper (BIG PLUS), trendy loop edges, and a HOOD!  

Something you will hear me say often is that when you buy a piece of clothing (particularly if it's a little more expensive than you would normally spend) is that you need to think of AT LEAST 3 ways you can wear it.  Can you dress it up?  Can you wear it with jeans or maybe even joggers for a casual look?  Will it pair well with sneakers AND heels OR boots?  Can you think of multiple ways and styles to wear it?  That is something else that makes a little black sweater a wonderful member of your closet!  It meets ALL of those criteria!  It will go on and on and on, with jeans, all colors of pants, or skirts!  I can even see wearing it on a cool summer day with shorts! PERFECT! It’s a color for every season so it will always work!

These fun necklaces are also from Buckle. I LOVE all the different colors in them; they will go with several outfits, both dressy and casual.  I consider tank tops staples in my closet, and this one in particular matches some of the gorgeous colors in the necklaces.   I don’t remember where my earrings are from, but I wear them quite often.  Even with jewelry, think about how you would wear it with different outfits.
