Cheeseburger In Paradise Pie

This is no ordinary cheeseburger!  This is a slice of paradise on your plate!

As the name suggests, this is a take from Jimmy Buffet’s famous Cheeseburger in Paradise ~ but in pie form. This burger is seasoned perfectly, has that hint of Worcestershire sauce, and the combination of cheeses on top makes it so good!   You may not be at Margaritaville,  but you will feel like it from the first bite of this delicious burger.

About This Recipe

This is such a simple dish to put together.  Just cook up your choice of ground meat with chopped onion and throw in a diced jalapeno if you’d like.  Once cooked, add the amazing blend of seasonings, put it in the pie plate, and top with shredded cheeses.  Then you mix up the thin batter, pour it on and put it in the oven.  The thin batter makes its way through to the bottom of the pie plate to hold it all together.  How simple is that?

Notes

  • You can top it with your favorite cheeseburger topping (I used ketchup) and serve it with a small dinner salad or even french fries.

  • You can stick with just one type of cheese or a combination, whichever you choose.  Think of what you might like on a gourmet cheeseburger.

  • If you would rather your servings be square, you could use an 8×8 square pan. Want to make it into a 9”x13” casserole?  Simply double, or even triple, the recipe.  Note that the baking time would be different, so keep an eye on it until the toothpick comes out clean.
