Orange Dreamsicle Salad

The perfect, light dessert for summer that will have you reminiscing about your childhood days!

Orange Dreamsicle Salad tastes like an orange Dreamsicle ice cream treat with its tangy citrus flavor and creamy, mousse-like texture. It’s a sweet addition to any meal and is perfect to bring to a summer picnic.

About This Recipe

This is such a simple dessert to put together.  Just mix the orange Jello with boiling water and whisk until dissolved.  Add the ½ cup juice reserved from the can of mandarin oranges.  Allow the Jello to chill and then whisk in vanilla pudding (powder only) and chill again until thickened.  Then simply fold in the Cool Whip, mandarin oranges and marshmallows.  If you’d like, you can reserve some mandarin oranges and marshmallows to garnish the salad.

Want to make individual servings?  Simply divide the salad up into clear 8 oz. cups, topping with a mandarin orange and a few miniature marshmallows if you’d like.

Mix it Up!  Want to make this salad with a different flavor?  Just change up the flavor of Jello in this recipe and change the fruit.  For instance, if you use strawberry Jello, add sliced strawberries in place of the mandarin oranges; raspberry Jello with fresh raspberries, cherry Jello with sliced cherries, etc.
